What happens at twelve recipes?
Everything you have already saved stays exactly where it is, and the app keeps working — you subscribe when you want to add the thirteenth.
What if I already use Platewell?
Every household that existed when the free tier launched keeps unlimited recipes, free, for life. There is nothing to pay and no card to add.
Who can subscribe?
Any owner of the household. One subscription covers everyone in it, and a household never carries more than one.
What happens if my payment fails?
Your card's issuer and the store both retry for a few days, and most failures sort themselves out. If it still has not gone through three days after we first hear about it, Platewell locks until it is renewed — and nothing is deleted. Every recipe is exactly where you left it the moment payment goes through.
What if I cancel?
You keep the rest of the year you paid for, then drop back to the free plan. You go on reading, editing and organising every recipe you already have; you just cannot add new ones past twelve.
Where do I manage my subscription?
A subscription bought on the web is billed by RevenueCat, who appear on your statement and handle receipts and refunds — manage it from Settings in the app. One bought in the iOS or Android app is managed in your App Store or Google Play account, like any other in-app subscription.
What counts as a household?
The people you cook with. A household shares its recipes, collections, tags and meal schedule; one subscription covers all of them, on as many devices as they own.
Do family members each need an account?
Each person signs in as themselves, so favourites stay personal, but only the household is billed. Owners and editors can change recipes; viewers browse.
Is anything limited offline?
Only revision history, which is worked out on the server. Browsing, searching, editing, importing from files and planning meals all work with no network.
Can I get my recipes out?
Yes. Share links hand over a full copy of a recipe or a collection, and imported recipes keep a link back to where they came from.
